Trying to figure out what movie/show this is from?

All we can remember is that there is a guy who swore never to dance
again because he watched his parents die in a jigging accident.
Someone bumped the record player into high speed, and his parents had
no choice but to dance faster and faster until they died.

iirc, the guy finally overcomes his fear and dances again.

It was a comedy.

Please help us out, it's driving us crazy that we can't remember where
we saw this.
