Chris Keyser Is Totally New WGA West Leader
La The Authors Guild of America, West (WGAW) has introduced the outcome of their 2011 WGAW Officials and Board of Company directors election. The next people were chosen for everyone as Officials: Leader Christopher Keyser V . P . Howard A. Rodman Secretary-Treasurer Carl Gottlieb. I congratulate Patric with an excellent, positive and constructive campaign. These past couple of several weeks have strengthened for me personally how open and democratic this Guild is and just how engaged lots of our people have been in the problems that shape our working lives. That passion and participation is paramount to the success leaving me, even just in these difficult occasions, positive about our future. I wish to thank John Wells, whom I succeed as Guild Leader, for his a long time and services information. I we owe him an extremely great debt of gratitude. Now I anticipate making real progress on all individuals issues included in this enforcement, engagement, organizing, communication and diversity which have been the main focus of the campaign. And That I anticipate dealing with Authors Guild, East, with SAG and AFTRA and also the DGA, in addition to our other sister unions, to locate common methods to our common challenges. Goyer (1,016, 8.8%), Serta Wilcox (970, 8.4%), Linda Burstyn (906, 7.9%), Carleton Eastlake (802, 7.%), Thania St. John (798, 6.9%), Ian Deitchman (773, 6.7%), Alfredo Barrios, Junior. (737, 6.4%). The Officials and Board people assists for any term of 2 yrs, effective immediately. OTHER RESULTS: Candidates for Officials: Patric M. Verrone (806, 39.8%) V . P .: John Aboud (449, 24.7%) Secretary-Treasurer: David N. Weiss (885, 49.7%). Candidates for people from the Board of Company directors: John Brancato (649, 5.6%), Nell Scovell (643, 5.6%), Ari B. Rubin (573, 5.%), Michael Oates Palmer (549, 4.8%), Jay Kogen (498, 4.3%), Shaun Lowell (476, 4.1%), Barbara E. Nance (363, 3.1%), Anthony Sparks (325, 2.8%), Nelson Soler (157, 1.4%), Mark Alton Brown (149, 1.3%). An overall total of two,102 ballots were cast. The ballot count was supervised by Robbin Manley of Off-shore Election Services, Corporation., a completely independent firm.
